How we track ads in AI assistants
Verified against sources . How we verify
What each status means
- Ads live
- Labeled ads are being served to users, confirmed by the platform or by multiple credible reports.
- Testing
- The platform has confirmed a limited test, but ads aren't generally available.
- Announced
- The company has said ads are coming, and we haven't verified that any are running.
- Ended
- Ads ran and have been withdrawn or wound down.
- No ads
- No ads are served inside the assistant. If the platform uses chats for ad targeting elsewhere, we say so.
Which sources we use
We rank sources in this order: the platform's own announcements, help centers and product pages; then established trade and news outlets. When a fact comes only from reporting, the page says "reported". Every claim links to a numbered source, and every page shows the date it was last checked.
How often we check
A monitor reads the official news feeds of the platforms we cover every day and surfaces any headline about ads. Those headlines appear on the home page as "From official sources" until we've reviewed them. Platform statuses, facts and pages are reviewed weekly, and immediately after major announcements.
How we keep facts accurate
Every fact is tied to a numbered source. For the claims that matter most, we also keep a short verbatim quote from the source that supports it.
Each week an automated script, with no AI involved, re-opens every source. It checks that each quote still appears word for word and that every source link still works. Anything that no longer matches opens a ticket, and the claim is fixed or removed.
A second script reads key official pages every day and flags any change for review. The pages it watches are listed below.
The site can't publish a page where a number, date or price lacks a citation: every build checks each page and stops if it finds one. If the facts haven't been re-checked in three weeks, every page says so.

What we don't do
We don't estimate figures that platforms haven't published, and we don't publish rumors as facts. Benchmarks such as CPMs are always attributed to whoever reported them. Our own guidance, such as checklists, is labeled as ours.
Corrections
If something here is wrong or out of date, email contact@aiadstracker.com with a link to the source. We fix confirmed errors and update the page's verified date.
